Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cloud data protection and data access security solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective cloud security and data protection strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend backup, data protection, and security tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Conduct assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance gaps.
- Develop and enforce cloud data protection policies and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities in the cloud environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud data protection and security.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to teams on cloud security and data protection-related matters.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in designing/implementing large-scale private/public/hybrid cloud environments focusing on storage, cloud data protection, and security.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data security features.
- Experience with cloud security solutions such as encryption, access controls, identity and access management (IAM), data loss prevention (DLP).
- Strong understanding of business continuity processes (DR) for complex cloud workloads.
- Understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Familiarity with cloud compliance requirements and best practices.
- Experienced in business and technical analysis, architecture design.
- Ability to communicate IT architecture methods, concepts, standards, and policies.
- Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills; able to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
- Cloud certifications are a plus.
