Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, a leader in retail store solutions and global commerce, is actively seeking a talented Cloud Database Engineer IV. This role is pivotal in designing and managing large databases within our robust Azure cloud infrastructure, focusing on making significant impacts across technical design, automation, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cloud Database Engineer IV, you will:

• Research and define technical requirements for all company applications/products.
• Implement security-focused data models and database schemas.
• Establish data standards across operations, programming, and security fields.
• Develop and enforce data retention and isolation policies using SQL and NoSQL databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Mongo-Atlas, Cosmos-vCore.
• Leverage analytical and organizational skills for database development beneficial to business objectives.
• Expertly handle SaaS projects and Azure frameworks including Control Plane, Data Plane, and Application Plane.
• Maintain and enhance Cloud data lakes on Azure, focusing on compliance, optimization, and security.
• Lead as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), mentor software teams, consult on technical designs, and share knowledge across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience, with 6+ years in database roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge in database management including Linux and cloud-based solutions.
• Proven capabilities in leading large teams or managing multiple smaller teams.
• Strong foundation in data design, modeling, and recommendations on database technology utilization.
