Join Our Team: Cloud Database Engineer - MongoDB at Penske

We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Database Engineer to specialize in MongoDB and Vector DB technologies. This is a critical role at Penske, a premier global transportation provider. The successful candidate will design and engineer enterprise-level Data Platforms across hybrid cloud environments.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Cloud Database Engineer, you will:

• Design, deploy, and manage both MongoDB and Vector databases ensuring high performance and availability.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to tailor database solutions to meet application needs.
• Implement robust database security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
• Stay updated with emerging database technologies and incorporate best practices into our systems.
• Contribute to the architecture and database strategies on a global scale.
• Participate in the optimization and continuous enhancement of our database infrastructure.

What You Bring:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, with a preference for advanced degrees or certifications.
• Over 10 years of experience in database technologies and at least 5 years working with MongoDB and Cloud services.
• Proficiency in SQL, PowerShell, Unix shell scripting, and database management tools.
• A strong foundation in database security, performance monitoring, and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions and optimizations in platforms like AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Additional Qualifications:

Prior experience with SOX/SOC compliance audits, network connectivity and SSO/SAML integrations will be considered an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of hands and regular verbal and written communication. Candidates should be able to occasionally lift items up to 25lbs.
