We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Database Migration Engineer Associate to join our Google Cloud Platform team. This role is pivotal in helping our clients seamlessly transition their transactional database systems to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability. If you have a blend of experience in data infrastructure and passion for leveraging technology to solve critical business problems, we're looking for you!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with data models and queries in data infrastructure.
• 3 years of expertise in designing data pipelines and dimensional data modeling for synchronous and asynchronous system integration using both internal and external technology stacks.
• Proven experience in full stack application development and coding with Java, C#, C++, Python, Go, or JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with cloud databases such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDb, and more.
• Deep understanding of data migration strategies and large-scale system integrations or cloud migrations.
• Proficient in developing ELT or ETL workflows.
• Knowledge of query troubleshooting and performance enhancement.
• Familiarity with LLMs, Vector embeddings, and RAG.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) and high availability strategies.

About the Role:

As a Cloud Database Migration Engineer Associate, you will guide and support customers in their journey to migrate their database systems to Google Cloud. This role includes explaining technical requirements, assisting in design and planning, managing the execution, and troubleshooting any issues during the data migration process. Additionally, you will:

• Act as a trusted advisor, resolving complex migration challenges.
• Analyze environments for optimal performance on Google Cloud.
• Develop and share best practices, tutorials, and insights through various mediums.
• Travel up to 30% of the time for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite activities.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation range for this role varies by location and experience [$97,500-$143,000], not inclusive of bonuses, equity, or benefits. You will be provided with a comprehensive benefits package. Learn more during your recruitment process.
