Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is immediately seeking a highly motivated Cloud Software Engineer to join our growing team at our Hanover, MD location. The selected candidate will lead the migration of the Minotaur software into IL5 and IL6 cloud environments.

This role will support a mission management tool called the Minotaur Mission Processor, which ingests data from various sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft, enhancing an operator’s ability to identify tracks from various sensors, from both sea and land, utilized across all military branches.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 0 years of experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role with any major cloud platform.
• Experience developing applications using programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
• Extensive experience in a Linux environment.
• Experience deploying highly scalable databases in a cloud environment, considering database consistency, availability, and partition tolerance.
• Experience working in a Kanban workflow.
• Must be willing to obtain a US-level Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect or role with any major cloud platform.
• Proficient with RHEL operating system.
• Experience with various AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, and VPC, or equivalent services from other cloud providers.
• Strong scripting skills with languages such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Active US-level Secret clearance or higher.

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity to meet the requirements of the Software Engineer family.
