Job Description

As a Commercial – Business Intelligence Analyst at Precoat Metals, you will:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business intelligence and analytic systems, primarily using tools like Power BI, SQL, and Python.
• Create dynamic, insightful, and visually engaging reports that bolster strategic decision-making and policy implementation.
• Ensure our Power BI environment is agile, scalable, and responsive to evolving business demands.
• Work closely with executive leadership to demystify complex data, delivering clear, actionable insights that foster strategic decisions and operational advancements.
• Champion predictive analytics and machine learning to anticipate trends and optimize outcomes with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and customer engagement.
• Promote a culture of informed, data-driven decision making, encouraging analytical approaches across all organizational levels.
• Interact with both internal and external stakeholders to refine business processes by applying thorough data analysis and tailored reporting solutions.
• Maintain highest standards of data precision and quality, ensuring alignment with our overarching business goals.
• Lead crucial projects from conception through to execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery without sacrificing quality.
• Continuously learn and integrate new coding practices and technologies to remain innovative in business intelligence and analytics.

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a business intelligence role, with proven ability in leading substantial BI projects from start to finish.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and other relevant analytics tools.
• Eagerness to explore machine learning and predictive analytics applications.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of breaking down complex data for various audiences and influencing executive decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability in efficient project management and advancing projects from the design to production-ready phases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• Experience in the manufacturing or industrial services sectors, especially in environments requiring quick project turnarounds.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages and BI technologies is a plus.
