We're looking for a talented individual to help enhance our Compliance Systems including AML/BSA, Transaction Monitoring, OFAC/Sanctions, and various other compliance tools and platforms.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
As a Compliance Systems Engineer, you will:
- Assist in data analysis and documentation processes, including development, testing, implementation, validation, and maintenance of BSA/AML/OFAC models and scenarios used across the company.
- Design queries to perform data analytics and data extractions using SQL and other data mining tools.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative data integrity analyses for transaction monitoring and sanctions screening.
- Use PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel to prepare and report various company metrics to internal and external parties.
- Write formal and fact-based documentation detailing procedures, assumptions, and results/findings.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects such as system implementation and model validation.
- Support the BSA/AML/OFAC team during internal audits, system assessments, regulatory audits, and model validation stages.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in corporate banking.
- Strong SQL experience with Oracle and MS SQL, including the ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot queries.
- In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with AML Monitoring systems like Actimize, PRIME Compliance Suite, and Accuity Fircosoft is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of bank money transfer methods (MTS, SWIFT, ACH, FEDWIRE, CHIPS).
- Experience in ETL processes, job scheduling tools like Tidal, Windows & Unix infrastructure, Web Servers, and Web Application servers.
- Programming experience in Unix (shell scripting), Python, JAVA, Perl, and familiarity with J2EE and Spring Framework.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including DevOps using Git and Jenkins.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment with multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and ticket-driven environments like JIRA.
- Experience with the MuleSoft platform is a plus.
General Requirements
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. A degree in IT/Computer Science, experience in Business/Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance, and the ability to analyze data for business-relevant conclusions are essential.
Salary: The expected base salary ranges from $101k-$155k based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also receive a discretionary bonus.
