Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in developing multiple consumer electronic products. Knowledge of hardware and software technologies in low-power handheld/wearable devices is essential. Expertise in system architecture, performance analysis, and a broad understanding of multi-functional collaboration are also required.

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to evaluate imaging systems against use case requirements, including understanding of hardware engines such as CPU, GPU, Neural Network Accelerator, and DSP.
  • Knowledge of algorithm classifications and optimizing their hardware efficiency.
  • Understand the impact of processing flow selection on system performance, power consumption, and resource allocation.
  • Deep knowledge of sensor and camera technologies, covering image acquisition, color management, and performance optimization in various conditions.
  • Experience in supporting image collection and camera calibration in multi-camera systems.
  • Strong skills in system architecture and performance analysis, particularly in optimizing image streams for multiple algorithms.
  • Ability to define system-wide policies for multi-sensor streaming systems with memory constraints.
  • Translate product goals into feature-level architectures and decompose them into specific requirements.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration across Algorithms, Embedded Systems, ML, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, and Human Factors teams.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience are required.

Compensation & Benefits

At Apple, your base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
