Senior Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City or Bay Area. Hybrid role: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote.

Position Summary

Join our innovative team as a Senior Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer to develop and enhance our geospatial image processing pipeline. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team specializing in rapid development and big-data geospatial systems. This role involves utilizing current tools and datasets while contributing to the creation of new technologies, reporting directly to the Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to build tools for the rapid deployment of image detection and segmentation models.
• Focus on automating processes to facilitate the growth and expansion of our product line.
• Research and implement the latest tools to guide the engineering team.
• Develop and augment neural networks for specific image-based applications.
• Propose creative and collaborative solutions to technical challenges.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with building data and machine learning pipelines.
• Proficiency with NVIDIA and at least one modern distributed ML/DL framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MxNet, Caffe, or Keras.
• Expertise in Python programming and image processing libraries like OpenCV.
• Strong background in computer vision.

Additional Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Math.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud and Kubernetes.
• Experience in building large-scale machine learning infrastructure delivered to customers.
• Ability to define system architectures and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Flexibility to work seated or standing while performing computational tasks.
• No travel required for this role.
