About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance Machine Learning / Computer Vision models focused on improving accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyze petabyte-scale datasets from diverse sensors to pioneer new model frameworks.
• Implement model optimizations for both back-end and edge device inference.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless deployment and optimal performance of models.
• Stay updated with industry advances to integrate breakthrough technologies into Samsara’s ecosystem.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years in Applied Science roles; or a Ph.D. with 1+ year in Computer Vision.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python, and tools like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Skilled in managing complex data and ML code, preferably with GitHub experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record of working with large datasets and deploying ML models on edge devices.
• Experience in full-stack or back-end development to enhance underlying data structure comprehension.
