Responsibilities and Tasks

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Building and maintaining the mechanisms for running model inference.
• Collaborating with other teams to efficiently transition new models from design to production.
• Making technical decisions that optimize performance and cost.
• Contributing to best practices, design patterns, and identifying opportunities to refactor code.
• Ensuring the full video pipeline is efficient through cross-team collaboration.
• Maintaining the CI/CD pipeline for rapid model deployment.
• Building and maintaining the inference edge device and the tools required for field monitoring.
• Supporting other Vision Engineers in learning existing design concepts.
• Maintaining documentation for further development of inference components.

Innovation and Change

Your role will also involve:

• Actively participating in team process improvements.
• Creating and maintaining mechanisms for deploying models across multiple targets.
• Working with the team lead to scope and refine data requirements and influence technical decisions.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of new algorithm ideas into production.
• Creating prototypes that align with business Objectives and Key Responsibilities (OKRs).
• Assisting the technical ops team with onboarding and adapting farm installs as required.
• Innovating new methods to run algorithms effectively.

Your Profile and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related computer vision-based discipline.
• Experience in taking models from creation through to production.
• Experience working with academic researchers to convert ideas into products.
• Comprehensive understanding of model inference.
• Proficiency with both cloud inference and edge inference devices.
• Detailed knowledge of Python.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of image and video processing.
• Driven by high performance.
• Eagerness to stay updated with the latest technologies.
