Engineering Excellence at Agoda

Our Engineering team is integral to Agoda's operations, addressing complex ML and software requirements to enhance business decisions and customer experiences. This role involves handling vast data sets and system architectures at scale, driving our commitment to data-driven solutions and optimizations.

Role Highlights:

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Technically lead and enhance the scalability, stability, and efficiency of ML systems.
• Build and manage extensive ML processing pipelines.
• Utilize tools like Python3, Pyspark, Bash/Python scripting, Hadoop, SQL, S3, etc.
• Design, test, and launch new frameworks and systems, ensuring high standards of code quality.
• Collaborate closely with skilled engineers and product owners to automate data management tasks.
• Deliver ML models to production at a significant scale.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Essential qualifications and skills include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 4 years in machine learning.
• In-depth experience with Python, Pyspark, and data architecture principles.
• A proven analytical problem-solving approach and system administration expertise in Linux environments.

Additional beneficial skills:

• Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and open-source products.
• Scala development and experience in agile methodologies with a focus on test-driven development.
