Role Overview: Google Cloud Data Engineer

As a Google Cloud Data Engineer at Deloitte, your main responsibility will be to design, develop, and manage data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies. Your tasks will include:

• Designing and implementing data pipelines utilizing tools like GCP Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Ingesting and transforming data from varied sources such as relational and NoSQL databases, and log files.
• Preparing data for analytical and machine learning applications.
• Creating and maintaining data infrastructure, including lakes and warehouses.
• Ensuring data quality through comprehensive curation processes.
• Developing semantic layers for consistent data viewing.
• Utilizing database as code tools for database management and provisioning.
• Enhancing skills in graph database development.

Position Requirements

To be considered for the Google Cloud Data Engineer role, you should meet the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• In-depth knowledge of Python, SQL/DBMS, Vertex AI, and GCP Cloud technologies.
• Proven ability to work with both SQL and NoSQL databases, data transformation and visualization tools, and data warehouse technologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and team collaboration skills.
