Roles and Responsibilities

Technical Task Management: Assess and capture business issues and accurately translate them into structured technical tasks for the data engineering team. Quickly adapt to industry standards and develop efficient work plans.

Data Solutions Development: Design, build, and launch sophisticated full-stack data and business intelligence solutions. Extend the extraction, storage, transformation, and visualization layers to optimize performance.

Big Data Environment Support: Build environments that support analytics on various big data platforms, evaluate new technologies, and advocate for their adoption.

Data Pipeline Optimization: Focus on identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of data pipelines and the quality and reliability of data.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with diverse teams to create and modify data pipelines that meet business needs and develop tools for data access used by analytics and data science teams.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. Certifications in cloud technologies, especially Azure, are advantageous.

Prior Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines across various data sources like APIs, FTP sites, and cloud storages.
• Proficiency in operational programming and use of Apache data projects (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or cloud equivalents (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Lake Services).
• Experience in managing projects using Agile SDLC methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with programming languages including Python, Java, or Scala, and managing small technical teams.
