Role Overview

As a key contributor to both the cost accounting and inventory functions at Amazon Robotics, you will maintain crucial product cost metrics and support financial operations. Your role stands at the crossroads of our finance department and manufacturing operations, making your contributions critical to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts in month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries, inventory evaluation, and inventory roll forward analyses.
• Set and validate standard costs of manufactured goods and reconcile purchase price variances monthly.
• Engage actively in cost data analysis and support physical inventory counts.
• Maintain documentation for internal controls and participate in their testing.
• Provide robust support for departmental reporting and assist with both month-end and year-end closings.
• Recommend cost-effective solutions to enhance financial efficiency.
• Carry out additional duties as required, contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives.

Who Should Apply?

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a closely related analytical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in finance or a relevant analytical role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Over 4 years of experience in driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
• Advanced degrees or certifications such as an MBA or CPA.
• Proficiency in large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase) and familiarity with financial systems like Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau.
