Who We’re Looking For

We invite individuals with diverse experiences, including academic teaching (high school or higher education), educational technology from startups to large organizations, and direct experience in educational publishing. We also welcome those whose creativity and expertise can contribute to developing teaching and learning strategies for digital learning, with an initial focus on AI-supported pedagogical tools.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead educational innovation, ensuring our digital courses are crafted with pedagogical excellence, inclusivity, and effectiveness. Collaborating closely with editorial, product, sales, and implementation teams, you will drive the development of engaging digital learning experiences while leveraging the potential of generative AI. Your commitment to evidence-based teaching, equity, and continuous improvement will be critical in shaping the future of education.

  • Lead research and collaborate on developing generative AI-supported pedagogical tools that enhance learner skills such as writing and critical thinking.
  • Work with subject matter experts and internal teams to design, develop, and refine learning resources.
  • Design evaluation methods to assess AI-supported learning experiences and propose improvements.
  • Evaluate potential partnerships and business opportunities related to AI-supported tools.
  • Stay updated on trends in generative AI within educational contexts.
  • Contribute to professional development support for instructors across various course areas.
  • Promote the creation of accessible, diverse, equitable, and inclusive content and learning experiences.
  • Participate in events to promote products, gather market information, and engage with experts and reviewers.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with digital educational content or designing learning experiences in roles such as instructional designer, learning experience designer, or educational publishing.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based teaching practices and learning theories.
  • Familiarity with generative AI technologies.
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills for data-driven insights.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with subject matter experts and internal teams.
  • Ability to travel for in-person meetings (less than 10% of the time).

Preferred

  • Certificate or graduate work in educational technology, writing disciplines, technical communication, or instructional design.
  • Experience in teaching fields heavily influenced by generative AI.
  • Knowledge of authentic assessment, project-based learning, or self-regulated learning.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, JIRA, PowerBI, Pendo, and Amplitude.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000/year

Exemption Status: Exempt

This role can be based in our New York, NY office, Boston, MA office, Austin, TX office, or fully remote (U.S. only, excluding certain states).
