At JPMorgan Chase, within the CTO Office's Global Technology Applied Research division, we're seeking a talented Cryptography Research Engineer to push the boundaries of quantum communications and cryptography from our Singapore hub.

About the Role

As a vital part of our Global Technology Applied Research Team, you will:

• Collaborate closely with a team of expert researchers and engineers to design and develop software platforms and integrate research components.
• Lead the development and implementation of groundbreaking solutions addressing the challenges faced by our internal project teams.
• Document and relay project outcomes and solutions to key stakeholders within the firm.
• Advance the state of quantum communications and cryptography, including areas such as quantum-safe networks and secure computation.
• Enhance JPMC’s intellectual property portfolio by securing the necessary protections for innovations.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Info-communications Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementing cryptography algorithms from scratch, with a focus on security and performance.
• Strong familiarity with NIST standards and a knack for tackling complex problems.
• In-depth experience in designing and implementing cryptosystems.
• Proficient knowledge of modern and enterprise-level Linux systems, such as Ubuntu/RHEL.
• Proven ability to independently lead innovation projects in uncertain environments.
• Essential programming skills in C within associated development environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Adaptability and resourcefulness in software development to meet evolving requirements.
• An enjoyment of dynamic working environments and active contribution to team enhancement.
