Posted Date: November 5, 2023 Country: United States of America Location: RVA99: RTN Remote, Virginia Position Role Type: Remote Raytheon’s Intelligence and Space (RIS) is assisting a U.S. Government client on a crucial mission development and maintenance program to design, build, supply, and manage a network operations environment; introducing new cybersecurity capabilities to counter emerging threats. RIS is looking for a Cybersecurity Data Integration Engineer/Developer to aid in the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities. Job Responsibilities: Raytheon Technologies is recruiting a Security Engineer to play a crucial role in supporting a statewide program that provides cyber assessment services and management to protect over 20 affiliates from growing and evolving cybersecurity threats. The engineering work will focus on cloud security, SIEM and log management, and endpoint detection/response, thereby protecting clients from the constantly evolving cybersecurity threats. This individual will also be working with clients to ensure that the organization’s compliance standards are adhered to and improved while also strengthening customer relationships. The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of network architecture basics, protocols, routing, firewalls, cloud, and DevOps. Although part of a larger team, the candidate must be able to work independently under general supervision, be self-directed, multitask, and prioritize work. Required Skills: U.S. Citizenship required Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance Ability to secure DHS Suitability 6+ or more years of relevant experience 4+ or more years of experience with administering enterprise SIEM technologies (primarily Splunk) Experience with Splunk Cloud: Architecting, designing, engineering, supporting, configuring, content administration, and maintaining infrastructure for a highly available disaster recovery configuration Ability to administer Splunk and Splunk Applications for Enterprise Security log or event management Expertise in EDR toolsets – administration, analysis, and integrations preferably with CrowdStrike Familiarity with SOAR Products including Phantom and ThreatConnect Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, bash/ksh/sh,python) Ability to assist team with Incident response and handling Excellent ability to convey technical information to both non-technical and technical audiences Experience working with senior leadership and management. Desired Skills: Experience related to Ansible for performing administration using code and Git/Gitlab for workflow management Familiarity with Windows and Linux integration, SQL database technologies, troubleshooting, deployment, patching, and administration Experience with Logstash and ability to collect, parse, and transform logs Experience with the standards compliance process (e.g., NIST) and writing network security documentation Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related degree. Two years of related work experience may substitute for each year of degree level education.
