Allianz Commercial, a leader in risk management for sectors including aircraft, international business, offshore wind parks, and Hollywood film productions, is seeking a dedicated Data & AI Strategist. This role is based in Munich.

We collaborate closely with varied data domains across the insurance value chain, alongside experts from our global data office.

The Impact You Will Have

In your role as a Data & AI Strategist within the Global Data Office, you will be pivotal in crafting and sustaining our data strategy while contributing to salient projects in the data and AI realms. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer and Head of Advanced Analytics, you will align and execute the Data & AI Strategy, leveraging a thorough understanding of our diverse data domains and their inputs into the insurance value chain.

Your expertise in emerging AI methodologies, such as GenAI and LLMs, will be essential in integrating these into our strategy. You will work seamlessly with all teams within the Global Commercial Data Office and serve as a key liaison for decentralized data teams within Allianz Commercial.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining the data strategy for Allianz Commercial in coordination with the Chief Data Officer and team leads.
• Contributing to high-impact projects in the Data and AI domain through analysis, model development, deployment, and project management.
• Utilizing state-of-the-art tools and collaborating with agile teams to drive business outcomes from underwriting to claims management, particularly focusing on GenAI & LLM techniques.
• Researching and preparing decision-making materials for stakeholders on relevant topics such as data platforms, AI regulation, and ethics.
• Engaging with decentralized teams within Allianz Commercial and Allianz Group to meet evolving needs in the data & AI landscape.
• Establishing a proactive communication model to foster collaboration around data & AI topics.

What You Bring to the Role

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Strong project management skills, stakeholder communication, and experience in data/AI strategy.
• Familiarity with cloud services for data science and machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• An in-depth understanding of the insurance industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, engaging various functions (Finance, Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Market Management).
• Expertise in relationship management, consulting, and problem-solving within complex, regulatory, and diverse business ecosystems, including agile methodologies.
