Role Summary

As the Data Analytics and Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing our data analytics and engineering initiatives, including data visualization and data engineering. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, drive data-informed decision-making, and provide actionable insights.

Job Description

Digital Vision

Define and communicate the Center of Excellence’s (CoE) digital vision and goals aligned with the company's objectives. Lead the development of systems to convert raw data into actionable business insights across various functions and processes. Develop an effective architecture for data analysis and reporting.

Work with senior digital leadership to prioritize digital demands, facilitate business cases, and drive continuous improvement across regions and factories.

Leadership and Team Management

Build and manage a high-performing CoE team of data analysts, architects, engineers, and business analysts. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration while ensuring quality and correcting discrepancies in analytics operations.

Collaboration

Partner with executives, department heads, and business units to understand business needs and champion data products integration into processes. Develop frameworks and playbooks for data engineering and analytics solutions, ensuring timely availability of information for informed business decisions.

Governance and Compliance

Establish governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for data analysis. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security protocols.

Performance Tracking and Reporting

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project success and impact. Regularly update senior leadership on progress and prioritize capabilities derived from process evaluation.

Business Judgment and Consultancy

Provide business judgment and consultancy for other CoEs and internal customers to effectively deliver digital capabilities and services.

Ensure projects are funded, executed, and governed within the organization framework. Maintain alignment with Carrier’s overall digital and business strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience as a Data Engineering and Analytics Manager, with extensive team leadership in Data Products and Data Architecture. Robust understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Virtualization.

Strong expertise in data architecture principles, including data modeling, storage solutions, integration strategies, and scalability. Solid experience in data engineering, analysis, and reporting with a background in market research and project management.

Knowledge of data warehouses, data lakes, pipelines, Snowflake, R, SQL, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, SAS, Power BI). Experience with data from ERP systems and strong problem-solving skills for complex data challenges.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Over 15 years of relevant experience with 5+ years in process optimization and business case realization.

Other Requirements

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%). Familiarity with industry standards, compliance, and security protocols. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
