This position will be part of Ramboll’s innovation and digital transformation team Galago. Galago is an innovative service by Ramboll aimed at reducing the risk of environmental damage and human health.

As our new Data Analytics Consultant, you will be part of a team assisting clients with their data analysis and visualization needs, designing custom data workflows, constructing interactive dashboards, and developing bespoke applications for solving practical issues. This role includes opportunities to interact directly with clients and project teams, presenting deliverables and receiving feedback. Learn more about Galago here:  

We are a small team of technical experts, looking for someone to help us deliver consistent and engaging analysis and tools to our clients.

You will join our Environment & Health department

As a Data Analytics Consultant, you will be a critical member of a team involved in creating web mapping applications, report documents, and client-specific deliverables. The successful consultant will work independently, thrive in a team environment, and serve as a technical GIS resource for managers and staff. This role often requires data management, developing presentations, data analysis, and performing spatial calculations. You'll also have opportunities to present your findings directly to clients and project teams. You may have a strategic role in fine-tuning existing GIS applications and suggesting additional, practical, and beneficial uses.

Key requirements for this position:

  • Experience with Analytics and BI platforms like Qlik Sense and Power BI
  • Experience with Python development
  • Experience in data analysis and exploration
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently while remaining organized and efficient
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact and present to others
  • Travel 5-10%
  • US citizenship (required for Department of Defense Common Access Card)

Additional beneficial skills include:

  • Experience with DAX and M programming within Power BI
  • Familiarity with developing and deploying ArcGIS Experience Builder web apps
  • JavaScript development
  • Experience with web scraping using the Selenium testing framework
  • Experience developing Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) pipelines
  • Experience with geospatial tools such as ESRI ArcGIS
  • Familiarity with project management platforms
  • Prior experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers
  • A master’s degree is preferred
