Role Summary:

Join our innovative team as a Data Analytics Power BI Developer - Assistant Manager and contribute to advancing the financial solutions within the Corporate Finance domain at State Street. This role centers around the use of robust analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau to drive the business intelligence that supports our expansive financial operations.

Role Description:

As a key player in our Global Technology Services division, you will be involved in developing both transactional and data warehousing solutions primarily using Oracle and SQL Server, alongside modern cloud database technologies such as Databricks and Snowflake. Your tasks will include:

• Developing semantic models for analytics tools such as Power BI, focusing on hybrid data access models.
• Working closely with various platforms for data acquisition to bolster reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Ensuring seamless integration of diverse platforms to enhance user experience across our financial stack.
• Collaborating extensively within IT and Finance departments to support and test implementations effectively.

Core Skills:

• Expertise in Power BI Architecture and Development.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling, Semantic Model Designing for direct or hybrid data access, and Power Query.
• Advanced skills in DAX queries, performance tuning, and data visualization.
• In-depth SQL experience with a strong focus on security modeling in Power BI.
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
• Proficient in scripting, particularly Windows batch scripts.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with OBIEE and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud database environments like Snowflake and Databricks is an advantage.
