About the Role
Visa University (VU) is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Manager to join our global team. This role involves supporting our teams by leveraging your expertise in data analysis, data visualization, and data governance. You will be crucial in enhancing our learning data experience and fostering data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering
- Develop and maintain a learning data warehouse aggregating data from multiple sources to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Utilize Python for data analysis, automation, and task management.
- Implement and oversee data governance policies to ensure accuracy and security.
- Perform quality assurance on data and deliverables.
- Design and manage data processes from collection and storage to analysis and reporting.
Data Analytics
- Innovate and brainstorm new methods of leveraging data to solve business problems.
- Extract and analyze data to derive insights that benefit stakeholders.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to understand and meet their data needs.
- Identify opportunities for using learning data to drive business solutions.
- Provide analytical and technical support to internal stakeholders, including VU colleagues, and deliver subject matter expert (SME) training.
Visualization & Reporting
- Create insightful dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Watershed.
- Develop visualizations to make complex analyses accessible to a broad audience.
- Create and maintain project documentation.
This is a hybrid position, requiring you to spend 2-3 days in the office per week. The exact schedule will be determined by leadership based on business needs. Employees are expected to be in the office 50% or more of the time.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 2 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA), or 0 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI.
- Advanced programming skills in R and Python.
- Experience with data governance and process management.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with HR/Learning data is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams.

- Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
- Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and frequent operation of standard office equipment.
