About Your New Role

As a Data and Analytics Specialist within Roche's Business Intelligence and Data Analysis team, you will cultivate and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders across multiple functions. Your role involves analyzing and understanding their analytic needs and working collaboratively within an agile product team to address these needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform, test, visualize, and document analytic data products.
  • Analyze and decode trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Cooperate with data and insights colleagues and business stakeholders to identify and seize high-impact opportunities, delivering robust solutions to promote self-service analytics.
  • Prioritize and align opportunities with broader strategic goals, managing competing demands to ensure delivery of the most impactful results.
  • Participate in user discovery sessions, iterative refinement cycles, and sprint planning as a key data analyst within an agile team.
  • Develop critical data layers, user interfaces, and other tools to empower self-service analytics.
  • Engage with users to gather feedback on self-service implementations, fostering a cycle of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor the usage of self-service data products, undertaking activities to boost engagement and utilization.

An analytics expert who understands stakeholder needs and leverages data skills and partnerships to fulfill these requirements. You are a proactive team player in agile environments, comfortable with uncertainty, capable of operating with minimal oversight.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
  • Curious mindset with a thorough understanding of business rules applied to data.
  • Proficiency in self-service visualization technologies like Tableau, Power BI, and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL build-up, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience in healthcare analytics and knowledge of Python, R, or related programming languages is advantageous.
  • Degree in Informatics or related fields with at least 3 years relevant experience.
