Job Description

As a Data Analyst – Power BI expert, you will collaborate closely with the Product Managers, Engineers, Business Experts, Data Scientists, and fellow Data Analysts to generate value from data while improving our ability to make data-driven decisions. You will work with several complex data sources with a focus on building reporting tools and dashboards, and data-based products, all while ensuring the realization of business value from data.  

You will be the first Power BI expert and, as a subject matter expert in Power BI, your impact on the company will be significant. You will be working in product teams within different programs within the Tech center and H&M’s data backbone. Your adaptability to change environments will be key to supporting numerous teams and products based on their needs and priority. Working in an agile manner, you will be supporting multiple teams simultaneously and your main responsibility will be creating and maintaining dashboards and helping to develop and expand the analyst community. You will be a champion for visualization within the AIAD area and the wider Data Analyst community at H&M. You will also lead the way in upskilling the community on visualization related topics.

Responsibilities: - Translate business needs into intuitive KPIs and challenge the status quo of current metrics selection - Create and maintain intuitive dashboards. - Combine, explore, and draw valuable insights from data. Work with large and complex data assets from different parts of the business. - Identify and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets to enable the business to make data-driven decisions. - Empower stakeholders to improve the value through expert analysis and visualization of various types of data. - Play an important role in developing and growing the analyst community.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst and Power BI expert, preferably in a product team setting - Experience with Power BI tools - Technical experience in SQL and GCP - Analytical and creative with a desire for self-development - A degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar is preferred - Ability to work with large and complex data sets - Ability to communicate and explain data and its implications to various stakeholders - Ability to analyze and create dashboards for large amounts of data into clear insights - Ability to align tasks with the strategic goals of the business - Strive to reach goals, prioritize tasks, and take direct action to address problems, meeting deadlines and achieving results - Ability to advise the business on the best solution from both a business and technical perspective - Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
