Boeing, the world's leading aerospace company, is currently seeking a highly skilled Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform Architecture Senior Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is open for hybrid work with locations available in Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL; El Segundo, CA; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; or Plano, TX.

About the Role:

The chosen candidate will be instrumental in driving Boeing’s transformation towards a data-centric culture and enhancing our application suites. As a Senior Manager, you will lead a team of expert Data and Cloud Architects as well as Supplier Architects/Developers to deliver top-notch solutions that encompass system design, technology selection, solution design, process design, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine the strategy for our data and analytics platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Drive the simplification and consolidation of our data architecture and systems.
  • Establish a resilient foundation for large-scale data collection, storage, modeling, and analysis.
  • Lead the design and verification of robust architecture for our analytics and data platforms.
  • Identify design constraints and ensure architecture complies with requirements.
  • Incorporate architecture functions into the software development lifecycle.
  • Assess and integrate new products to enhance system environments.
  • Implement governance frameworks, focusing on platform security.
  • Coach and mentor team members in best practices and advanced technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Over 10 years experience in web application architecture, cloud-based development, and software development including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Minimum 3 years working cross-functionally across various business levels.
  • Proven experience with APIs, data integration, and microservices.
  • Expertise in IT architecture within large-scale, hybrid cloud, and on-prem environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in mentoring and guiding teams.
  • 3+ years experience in strategic planning and cloud architecture management.

Location and Work Shift:

This is a hybrid position requiring some onsite work as per team's needs. This role is open for first shift work schedules.

Salary and Benefits:

Boeing offers a competitive salary range of $151,300 – $218,500, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our Total Rewards package includes variable compensation opportunities, health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off among other benefits.
