Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Data Architect to elevate our Data & AI team. Your mission will include designing data-intensive applications using Azure, aligning with customer business goals, and setting the technical direction for our group. The ideal candidate will excel in modern data solution creation, thrive in fast-paced environments, and work across the entire data stack from initial requirements to system design and implementation. You'll collaborate with a high-performance engineering team and report directly to the Practice Manager of Data & AI, significantly influencing our technical and strategic direction.

Role Responsibilities

• Identify and address customer needs with tailored data engineering solutions.
• Lead the design, strategy, and implementation of data architectures for customer projects.
• Simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences.
• Navigate uncertainty between current and future states.
• Advise Concurrency leadership on technical strategies to expand market presence in D&AI.
• Mentor team members and uphold high standards in data engineering and system design.
• Share thought leadership content on GitHub, LinkedIn, blogs, or YouTube to educate and attract target customers.
• Lead requirements gathering workshops for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage any stage of the data software development lifecycle confidently.
• Propose improvements by challenging the status quo.
• Embrace challenges and show resilience in the face of failure.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in Python 3.8+, SQL, PySpark.
• Experience with Azure Data Management Landing Zones, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL DB, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design for optimal Azure architecture and enable data product interoperability.
• Develop enterprise data strategies balancing trade-offs, organizational structure, tech maturity, and strategic objectives.
• Expertise in CI/CD in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, containerization, and automation.
• Design scalable data warehouses and manage complex data pipelines.
• Implement data governance, including data contracts, MDM, data catalogs, lineage, and metadata management.
• Advanced knowledge of security protocols: IAM, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, encryption, and data loss prevention.
• Proficient in tools such as GitHub, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.

Additional Desired Qualities

• Microsoft MVP.
• Strong software engineering experience.
• Background in professional services organizations.
• Experience in Azure Purview and Fabric implementation.
• Understanding of data fabric and/or data mesh.
• Proficiency in Scala, Java, Terraform.
• Expertise in PowerBI report creation and deployment.
• API development skills with FastAPI or Django REST framework.
• Familiarity with MLOps infrastructure, pipelines, and automated governance.
• Product mentality with a professional services approach.
• Experience building Azure data infrastructure in Manufacturing, Retail, Agriculture, Education, Hospitality, or Financial Services.
• Demonstrable thought leadership through an active GitHub, blog posts, or publications.
• 15+ years of experience in data or system architectures.
