Salary: £68,000 to £70,000 per annum

Location: Based at our office in Harlow, Essex. Enjoy the flexibility of 2 office-based days and 3 remote working days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Architect, you will be instrumental in:

• Leading the development of an organisation-wide data strategy to support the delivery of objectives.
• Serving as a key stakeholder and advisor in new strategic data initiatives to ensure alignment with the foundation-wide data strategy.
• Defining and managing a framework of principles to ensure data integrity across multiple systems such as ERP, CRM, BI, and Data Warehouses.
• Creating and maintaining Enterprise Architecture artefacts including Entity Relationship Models and Data dictionaries to aid data traceability.
• Providing direction and technical oversight to ensure solution delivery adheres to enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
• Championing data security principles and embedding appropriate security practices in data strategies.
• Leading the delivery against key performance measures for data integration and quality.
• Managing third-party data suppliers to develop specifications compliant with the Enterprise data architecture.

About You:

Must Haves:

• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent certification.
• Proficient in SQL scripts and coding.
• Deep understanding of data engineering principles, best practices, and supporting technologies including SQL, NoSQL, Cache, and In-memory stores.
• Extensive experience architecting data solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premises data platforms.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, data transformation processes, and technologies such as Amazon Glue, EMR, Azure Data Factory, and Data Lake.
• Proven track record in implementing data solutions and modeling skills including normalization, OLAP/OLTP, and entity relationship analysis.
• Experience mapping Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications.
• Strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output.

Nice to Haves:

• Computer Science degree.
• Experience with Azure Logic Apps and other data management tools.
