Our long-term vision is to become the most inclusive digital bank in LATAM with over 2.5 million clients. Role Description Your role will be to lead and manage the data strategy within Baubap. This includes heading a team of data experts, establishing a secure infrastructure that will guarantee ethical handling of information, and using advanced analytics to make strategic decisions. Role Expectations Make sure Data Analytics is integral to every decision-making process at Baubap. Lead the continual enhancement of our Underwriting Machine Learning Models to ensure higher origination with the same risk profile. Implement a combined data infrastructure that optimizes for speed and scalability. Assemble, mentor and hold a high-performing data team responsible in supporting Baubap's objectives. Ensure that your team is as well-equipped as possible to achieve their goals and manage their direct reports efficiently. Daily Tasks Supervise the progress of Data Science teams, making sure they're meeting their KPIs, and providing guidance on overall strategy. Mentor and support Team Leaders and Managers. Constantly review and refine our hiring strategy and policy, as well as our performance evaluation process. Engage in long-term and strategic planning for the constant development of the Data Science teams. Promote the implementation of industry innovation where it can clearly benefit our users. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience managing data, preferably in a fintech environment. A proven track record of leading a data team and creating significant business impact through data insights. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools. A solid understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and Data Analytics principles. It will be Nice to Have Experience in a startup or fintech environment. Knowledge of the LATAM financial market.
