Job Description

Enlighten is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support the acquisition of mission-critical and support data sets. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting cyber and/or network-related missions within military environments, either as a developer, analyst, or engineer. This role will be based on-site at USARPAC and will require excellent communication skills to engage with the customer regularly.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a background in managing big data systems, complex data structures, and supporting government data acquisition and sharing efforts. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data sets.
• Understanding and addressing technical complexities.
• Working independently and collaboratively to achieve client objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Secret level security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 5+ years of experience as a developer, analyst, or engineer with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Java.
• Experience with network data acquisition and metadata understanding.
• Skills in data extraction, translation, loading, and data analytics preparation and labeling.
• Familiarity with Kibana, Elasticsearch, and log formats such as JSON and XML.
• Experience with data flow, management, and storage solutions (e.g., Kafka, NiFi, AWS S3, and SQS solutions).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
• Daily interaction with customers; stationed on-site 100% of the time.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (Security+) required.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with NOSQL databases such as Accumulo is desired.
• Experience in supporting cyber and/or network security operations within a large enterprise, in roles such as an analyst, engineer, architect, or developer.
