The Role

As a Data Engineer 2 at Micron, you will develop and enhance methods and systems for deriving new insights from our increasing streams of data. This position involves:

• Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and technicians to design and implement systems that extract data from business systems, transforming it into actionable formats.
• Creating dynamic presentation layers for use by high-level engineers and managers throughout the company.
• Supporting, configuring, and improving existing data solutions and developing new ones.
• Applying analytics and using machine learning and artificial intelligence across development, deployment, and application stages.
• Designing and optimizing data structures in Snowflake and Cloud platforms to enable AI/ML solutions.
• Building custom software components and analytics applications.
• Developing processes to transport structured and unstructured data into new physical Data Models and collaborating with Data Scientists to optimize the performance of big data and machine learning systems.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have:

• A Master's degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
