About the Data Engineer Role

The Data Engineer position is essential for the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and source integrations to meet increasing data complexities. This role includes collaborating with multiple teams to enhance data models, ensuring accuracy and availability, and providing leadership in deploying data and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrate new data sources to support data volume and complexity.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models used in business intelligence tools, promoting data accessibility and data-driven decision-making.
• Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data remains accurate and available for stakeholders and critical business processes.
• Write complex queries for data analysis and extraction.
• Develop data engineering standards and enforce those standards.
• Establish CI/CD standards and ensure their enforcement.
• Support container applications in the cloud.
• Provide leadership and support to team members in developing and deploying data and analytics platforms, focusing on cloud data architectures and SaaS-based analytics tools for scalability and reduced infrastructure support.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
• Expertise in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud services, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with big data tools like Apache Spark.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with docker and container applications (Container App Services).
