Join Critical Mass as a Data Engineer

We are actively seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Critical Mass. As a pivotal member of our Marketing Science division, the Data Engineer will manage the seamless transfer of massive quantities of raw data from various sources into harmonized, analyzable tables. The ideal candidate understands the significance of crafting organized data that can be used to address key business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will:

  • Automate manual processes using SQL, Python, and other relevant tools.
  • Define and implement solutions for data extraction and manipulation, driven by business needs.
  • Analyze documentation to propose efficient data extraction methods.
  • Write code to download and upload data using APIs.
  • Continuously enhance the efficiency of existing automation processes.
  • Serve as the “voice of reason” by setting realistic expectations for project timelines and deliverables.
  • Understand and communicate the nuances of required analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing Science and account teams to grasp business contexts.
  • Stay updated on industry news and innovative analysis techniques.
  • Assist in tagging and designing data infrastructure.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Fluency in English (minimum B2+ reading, writing, and conversation).
  • 1+ years of experience in using SQL, Python, or working with APIs.
  • 1+ years of experience in designing ETL solutions.
  • A quick learning ability to adapt to various subjects.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL queries, including database components like schemas, tables, stored procedures, triggers, DDL, and DML commands.
  • Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Adobe Campaign ETL manager and Salesforce.
