Overview
Our Technical Implementation team is a division of MasterCard's Data & Services group, being one of the fastest growing organizations in this space. The D&S Technology Teams offer analytic software tools that enable large, consumer-focused businesses to tap into the big data analytics potential through triangulating between business strategy, mathematical algorithms, and large databases for improved decision-making.
Our Delivery Engineering Platform team is integral to our consultation services, through managing data acquisition, integration and transformation of client-supplied data within the Test & Learn platform for global engagements.
Role
The Data Engineer will contribute to data management aspects of client engagements for delivering Test & Learn solutions, as well as promoting a high-performance, collaborative working environment. A Data Engineer will:
• Independently achieve projects through designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining large scale, global processes
• Act as a data expert within the team
• Deliver timely, accurate, high-value, robust data solutions across multiple clients, solutions, and industry sectors
• Establish trust-based relationships with colleagues and clients across local and global teams
• Implement best practices, contributing to the design of effective, streamlined processes for a complex global solutions group
• Adhere to industry best practices such as proper use of source control, participation in code reviews, data validation, and testing
• Comply with all MasterCard's internal policies and external regulations
All About You:
• Possess a BE/BTech degree in any discipline
• Excellent English quantitative, technological, and communication (oral/written) skills; is an excellent listener
• Expertise in RDMS technologies, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, the SSIS Stack and .Net, with proficiency in at least one scripting language (VB Script, Perl, Python)
• Demonstrated self-motivation and leadership with experience working in teams
• Display excellent innovative and critical thinking skills, able to disaggregate problems. Provides oversight, validation, and quality control of your own work and team output
• Ability to balance numerous projects and differing priorities
• Flexibility to work with global offices across several time zones
