About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to enhance our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will integrate engineering best practices with our expansive data landscape to forward our mission of transforming data into actionable insights. This position is essential for driving advancements in our data engineering practices and developing new data products focused on data backends, infrastructure, and DataOps.

Your First Year Milestones

• Launch an event-driven data operational architecture.
• Enhance the reliability and scalability of our data platform infrastructure.
• Strengthen data privacy and retention frameworks to ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
• Drive measurable improvements in platform cost efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Data Architecture: Lead the development of sophisticated data architectures.
• Optimise Infrastructure: Improve the scalability and reliability of data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Advance Data Privacy: Enhance frameworks for data privacy and retention, ensuring robust compliance and security.
• Platform Optimisation: Streamline our data platforms to boost cost efficiency and scalability.

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will possess a solid understanding of cloud data infrastructure (preferably GCP or AWS), experience with event-driven data integrations, and proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark. In addition, we value strong project leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
