Working with stakeholders, you’ll help develop software designs and code to scale this critical system, enhancing user insights and resolving real-world financial challenges.

How a Data Engineer Advisor Will Make an Impact

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a large-scale data migration project, transitioning complex data ecosystems between cloud environments.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, developers, and business stakeholders, to capture data requirements, identify migration challenges, and develop comprehensive migration strategies.
  • Utilize advanced data engineering techniques such as data ingestion, transformation, and modeling to ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability throughout the migration process.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance, ensuring data adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements during migration.
  • Optimize and streamline data pipelines using cloud-native services and automation tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in the cloud environment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • MS or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience
  • US Citizenship
  • Proven experience in leading data migration within AWS cloud environments
  • Proficiency in AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, and QuickSight
  • Experience in data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes within AWS
  • Knowledge of database migration techniques and AWS data lake architecture patterns
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices within AWS

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with AWS CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python for data engineering tasks and scripting
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA
