Job Description: Data Engineer & AI Trainee

About the Role:

The intern will actively participate in implementing advanced solutions to solve concrete factory problems, thus contributing to the optimization of operations at the Lessines site. Projects will include:

• Development and implementation of computer vision models for supervising the filling line.
• Utilizing generative AI to simplify administrative processes.
• Automatic generation of a knowledge graph to model our production chains.
• Interactive dashboarding for quick information retrieval.

In addition to development, Takeda will also provide the intern with opportunities to discover the manufacturing environment through tours of production areas, active participation in our team meetings, and interaction with internal users. At each project stage, the intern will receive support and supervision from our technical or business experts.

How You Will Contribute:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and develop solutions based on machine learning and data engineering.
• Analyze existing processes to identify improvement opportunities and integrate innovative technologies.
• Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of prototypes, as well as evaluate their effectiveness.
• Document project progress and results for management reviews and internal reports.
