Job Description: Data Engineer (Azure/Python-Databricks)

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our product teams and make a significant impact on our corporate data organization. This role offers you the opportunity to enhance our customer management solutions through the development of high-quality data services and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of robust data pipelines and storage solutions across various analytical technologies.
• Creation of efficient data exchange endpoints to cater to user needs.
• Interaction with governance tools such as Glossary, Modeling, Lineage, and Data Quality.
• Collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and present integrated solutions.
• Dedication to rigorous testing and adherence to DevOps principles within the team.
• Documentation of processes and solutions to ensure clarity and reusability.

Preferred Experiences and Technologies:

• Extensive hands-on experience (3 to 5 years recommended) in two out of the four following areas:
  1. Microsoft on-premise data technologies stack (SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server)
  2. Azure services (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, etc.)
  3. Data pipeline or data enrichment development using Python in a Databricks environment
  4. Openness to learning and utilizing new technologies (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Fluent in English; proficiency in German, French, or Dutch is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities with an analytical mindset.
• Adept at driving continuous improvement and results.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.

Additional Information:

• Full-time position with a flexible work arrangement: 2 days per week in our Brussels office and 3 days per week remote, post-training.
