Job Description
- As a Data Engineer for Big Data Solutions SiC, you will take responsibility for the SiC-specific further development of the SemiConductor Data Base (SCDB), the big data storage for the international semiconductor manufacturing network SO (Semiconductor Operations).
- You will work closely with our internal customers from process integration, product support, quality management and other specialist departments, understand their requirements regarding data preparation and provision, and develop efficient solutions.
- You are part of an international agile development team and work out solutions in the team as well as on your own responsibility, for the tasks defined by the SCDB Product Owner.
- Thereby, you gain an overview of the data content in the heterogeneous data landscape of the semiconductor manufacturing plants, develop concepts for data connection to the SCDB, coordinate these with the local production IT, implement solutions yourself or address work packages and the local production IT and present your results to the internal customers.
- Beside the technical aspects such as pipeline development or job scheduling, you are responsible for the correctness of the data, develop concepts for monitoring data quality, define measures for improvement at the source level, agree on the binding implementation of the measures with the responsible specialist departments and monitor the completion of the work packages.
Qualifications
- Education: Completed university degree (Master's/Diploma/PhD) in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or a comparable course of study
- Experience and knowledge: Several years of professional experience in the field of semiconductor production or development with a focus on data and quality management, experience working with Hadoop, programming skills in Python, basic knowledge of databases, basic understanding of data evaluation and visualization
- Personality and work style: Your way of working is characterized by a sense of responsibility, structured approach and interdisciplinarity; you are solution-oriented, team and assertive and act anticipatively; you are integrative, resilient and cooperative and have excellent communication skills; furthermore, you possess very good organizational and problem-solving skills as well as a pronounced quality awareness
- Languages: Business fluent German and English in speaking and writing
