About the Role

The Data Platform team at Ava Labs is integral to enhancing the Avalanche Ecosystem through streamlined Data and API services. We are on the lookout for an experienced Data Engineer who is adept at handling high-throughput systems and has a knack for turning on-chain data into actionable insights. If you've previously worked with APIs, your expertise will be highly valuable in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop reliable, scalable, and real-time data pipelines to manage diverse blockchain data types into cloud-native databases.
• Enhance data-driven decision making and product development by expanding and refining our existing datasets.
• Collaborate across teams to identify key data for various projects, creating scalable solutions for data ingestion and processing needs.
• Maintain cloud-native databases and data warehouses, adhering to best practices with the Data Platform team.
• Support the development of new and existing APIs, and contribute to data-intensive applications like the Avalanche Explorer and Core Wallets.
• Develop systems alongside product teams to extract real-world insights from on-chain data.

What You Will Bring to Ava Labs:

• A BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Proven expertise in building cloud-native, high-throughput data processing systems and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and blockchain data structures (EVM, UTXO, etc).
• Preferred experience includes Spark, Golang, Kafka or similar services, and Node.js.

Salary Range: $123,200 to $154,000

This position is eligible for remote work (#LI-Remote) and is part of the dynamic team (#LI-DS1).
