Data Engineer - Brazil at Alby
What You Will Do:
Data Infrastructure:
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
- Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
- Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Build data products and reporting tools that automate business processes.
- Assist in translating data analytics into actionable and meaningful reports.
SQL Development:
- Develop high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from our databases.
- Optimize query performance to ensure data accessibility and accuracy for stakeholders.
Integration and Data Quality:
- Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data validation and cleansing.
Who You Are:
- A problem solver with skills in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and other programming languages commonly used in data engineering.
- Experienced in managing large-scale data infrastructures, including relational databases and Big Data technologies.
- Familiar with data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
- Comfortable using IDEs such as Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, or similar.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a data engineering role, ideally in a tech or startup environment.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferable.
