Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, focusing on backend engineering and data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
• 1-2 years of experience implementing Customer Data Platforms (CDP) like Segment, Rudderstack, or Hightouch.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, or Spark is a plus.
• Solid proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and a good understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including product owners, technology teams, and marketing partners.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred location: EST Time Zone.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable customer data platform architectures.
• Collaborate with engineers, marketers, and product managers to align the CDP with business objectives.
• Implement data pipelines, APIs, and reverse ETL for real-time and batch data processing.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Segment, Rudderstack, or Hightouch for CDP, CEP (iterable), and digital marketing principles.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and determine both short-term and long-term fixes quickly.
• Understand and utilize complex data structures and associated components.
• Design, code, test, maintain, and document applications.
• Identify data sources, build data mappings, and provide transformational logic for data migration.
• Ensure high data quality and comply with data privacy and security guidelines.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance CDP capabilities and data integration with third-party platforms.
