As our organization expands, we’re seeking passionate and dedicated Data Engineers to collaborate on exciting projects on a contract basis (inside IR35).

About the Role:

This remote role might occasionally require travel to our Morley Head Office or other operational sites to further enhance our collaborative efforts. Burendo values a supportive and open work culture that promotes continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

Essential Behaviours:

• Strong passion for engineering and continuous learning.
• Expertise in writing clear, concise, and maintainable code.
• Pragmatism in approach with a focus on avoiding unnecessary complexities.
• Commitment to quality as a collective responsibility and eagerness to rigorously test own code.
• Ability to work collaboratively in pairing or mobbing scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills, aligning with our values of openness and respect.
• Desire to support and mentor others for collective success.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in Python, Spark, Spark SQL, SQL, and Databricks.

Desirable Skills:

• Prior experience in a technology or consulting firm.
• Background in the logistics industry is a plus.
