The Role

We are actively seeking a passionate Data Engineer to strengthen our Data Competency Center at Sigma Software. This role is suited for someone who is not only technically skilled in data engineering but also eager to lead and expand their expertise in data processing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, orchestration configurations, and CI/CD automation
• Analyze, organize, and interpret raw data using advanced data stack tools
• Create efficient SQL queries for data manipulation
• Drive Data Engineering excellence by researching technology trends and conducting best practices analysis

Required Qualifications

• Solid experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines
• Proven expertise in ETL/ELT
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling
• Minimum 3 years experience with Python/Scala in data processing and transformations
• Experience with Spark (especially PySpark)
• Hands-on knowledge of major frameworks and libraries in the Data Engineering domain, such as Spark, Kafka, and Airflow
• Familiarity with cloud-based data processing solutions (AWS/Azure)

Desirable Skills

• Experience with CI/CD in data engineering
• Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, Grafana
• Databricks certification or experience
