Job Title: Data Engineer | DataStage

As a Data Engineer at Talan, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration.
• Work closely with business teams to understand data requirements and devise tailored solutions that meet both operational and regulatory needs.
• Optimize ETL process performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, thereby ensuring data availability and quality.
• Take an active role in data modeling and schema design to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.

Qualifications:

What we are looking for in a Data Engineer:

• Proven experience in ETL solution development using IBM DataStage, with a solid understanding of data transformation concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), as well as for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Expertise in PL/SQL for developing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, and triggers, ensuring efficient data management at the database level.
• Strong skills in relational data modeling and database design, with practical experience in performance optimization and normalization.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with business stakeholders to meet their data needs.
• Aptitude for working in a regulated environment, with a keen understanding of data confidentiality and security.
