Join Our Team as a Data Engineer at FocusKPI!

FocusKPI is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join one of our prominent client's teams, providing essential support and expertise in Data Engineering. This role is pivotal as you’ll be tasked with managing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and the data warehouse, key to analyzing trends and activities in our client's product offerings.

Job Details:

• Location: Remote - Open to anywhere in the US
• Duration: 6 months
• Compensation: Starting at $60/hour

Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer, you will be:

• Collaborating with business teams to design and deploy a scalable data platform that handles diverse datasets.
• Mastering data modeling, data pipelines, data quality, and warehouses to support strategic decision-making.
• Designing, building, and maintaining efficient ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Creating integrations with third-party systems to enhance data sourcing and qualification.
• Empowering analytical and visualization tools to extract impactful insights from extensive data sets.
• Working closely with product, engineering, and data science teams, managing the full lifecycle of data, including governance and regulatory compliance.

Who You Are:

• Over 4 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
• Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with big data technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Data bricks.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, etc.) and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Proficiency with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
• Knowledge of blockchain protocols, data provenance, and governance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage projects across remote teams effectively.
