Job Description

We are seeking Data Engineers to join our competent data analytics team. As a Data Engineer, you will work in unison with several teams across our company on intricate, cutting-edge analytical projects to perform data sourcing, data profiling, and other data manipulation tasks.

You will be in direct control of the solutions we establish for our clients, meeting their business requirements through gathering information and collaborating on solution reviews. We are seeking proactive individuals with the necessary skills to empathize with the clients' needs, simplify technical complexities, develop suitable solutions, and contribute to the growth of our technology and data-driven company.

Consider your daily responsibilities in this role:

• Work intimately with the solution leads, project managers, data architects, and data scientists on solution design, architecture, and implementation
• Perform extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a broad range of data sources using various data engineering tools and methods.
• Query and process large data sets and carry out data quality checks.
• Design and implement data solutions for operational and secure integration across systems.

• Help in creating database models and architecture design and documentation
• Perform research and development while contributing to the long-term positioning of emerging technologies associated with data sourcing, cleansing, and integration
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
• Improve operations by carrying out system analysis; suggest changes in policies and procedures.
• Involve in client-facing project activities like collecting requirements, reviewing solutions, and explaining technical complexities and business rewards using non-technical terms.

Qualifications

Some of the qualifications and skills we are expecting, include the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field is mandatory

• 3+ years of data engineering, software engineering, or similar experience
• 3+ years of data warehouse integration experience using tools like Wherescape, Matillion, Fivetran, etc.
• 2+ hands-on industry experience working with SQL on diverse relational database platforms (Microsoft, Oracle, Hana, Postgres, etc.)
• 2+ hands-on industry experience working with enterprise /DW tools such as Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Redshift, Informatica, etc.
• Practical experience in aspects of data engineering design and implementation including data sourcing, data modeling of warehouses/marts/repositories, data integration/transformation/ETL, APIs, reporting, business intelligence, and analytics
• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages like Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB (preferred), CouchDB, Cosmos, etc., is considered beneficial
• Hands-on experience with Graph databases like Neo4j (preferred), Cosmos DB, Neptune, etc., is additional bonus
• Experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration is considered beneficial
• Experience with "big data" and distributed tools like Hadoop, Spark, Cloudera, etc., is a plus

• A cooperative team member who is detail-oriented, focused on solution quality and implementation
• Progressive mindset, especially regarding deployment models and emerging technologies
• Comfortable handling diverse projects of varying sizes and industries
