About This Role
As a Data Engineer at Talkiatry, you will play a crucial role in constructing and maintaining robust data infrastructures, such as pipelines, warehouses, integrations, and data models. This position is instrumental in supporting the continuous enhancement of our development workflows and processes. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including Product, Infrastructure, and Operations to drive clear, impactful outcomes.
An essential part of your role will involve enhancing and supporting our Referrals program, streamlining the process for third-party organizations to refer patients to our services.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Design and implement innovative data solutions interacting with both internal and external APIs and our Data Warehouse.
- Monitor and maintain the health and integrity of our data systems and Data Pipelines.
- Enhance our existing DBT Data Models and manage our Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Work closely with the infrastructure team to anticipate needs for new data products and articulate infrastructure requirements.
- Develop custom data solutions for system integrations that are production-grade.
- Integrate new data sources into the data warehouse and develop Reverse ETL solutions.
- Transition autonomously scheduled tasks and pipelines into Airflow DAGs.
Desired Competencies and Qualifications
You have:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with additional backend engineering experience beneficial.
- Proficiency in Python; expertise in other programming languages like Java or Scala is also appreciated.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and proven experience with Data Modeling and DBT.
- A solid background in managing cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Redshift.
- Experience in building and managing APIs and using message queues to handle data at scale.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI) and cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
