Data Engineer Field Services – Crucial Role in Energy Transition

Collaborate with business analysts, developers, a Scrum Master, and a Product Owner, all dedicated to revolutionizing the energy sector.

Your Role in the Energy Transition

Within this ART, we facilitate the shift towards a sustainable energy future. We're currently enhancing the digital fault management chain, where issues in the electricity and gas networks are addressed promptly and efficiently by deploying the right professionals with the correct information. Over 2000 daily users across 20 groups rely on our systems to keep the lights on and the heating running, even as the grid expands.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage distributed data pipelines to extract data from diverse sources.
  • Understand and translate source data into a uniform data model.
  • Deliver maintainable and high-quality data products.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum HBO work and-thinking level.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Expertise in data modeling, data product thinking, SQL, and data pipelines.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Snowflake.
  • Practical experience with Matillion, orchestration tools, DataMesh concepts, and AWS is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Based on a 40-hour workweek:

  • Monthly salary: € 3.809 to € 7.079 (scale 8, 9, or 10).
  • Annual individual choice budget (IKB) of 18% (full-time) or 12.8% (part-time) of your gross annual salary, including 8% holiday allowance. Use it for extra pay or extra days off – your choice.
  • 24.5 vacation days per year, plus extra days through your IKB.
  • Year-end bonus in December of 6% of your annual salary.
  • Reimbursements for studies and training, covering most educational expenses.
  • Flexibility to work from home or the office, with a home working allowance.
