What You'll Do

Join our team and play a crucial role in developing a robust data lake that supports predictive modeling, optimizes financial resource allocation, and enhances various financial processes across Amazon's dynamic businesses. As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing data lake infrastructure utilizing tools such as AWS, Python, Redshift, and more.
  • Interfacing with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver comprehensive data solutions.
  • Creating models for data and metadata to support both ad-hoc and pre-built reporting.
  • Owning the design and maintenance of essential metrics, reports, dashboards, etc., to influence business decisions.
  • Improving and automating reporting and analysis processes.
  • Mentoring team members and helping to scale our team and its culture.

Who You Are

Ideal candidates possess a deep expertise in data engineering with a strong background in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and SQL, along with proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python. You thrive in fast-paced environments, are passionate about analytics, and excel in solving complex business challenges with data-driven solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Proven track record with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines.
  • Proficient in SQL and at least one modern programming language.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, and EMR.
  • Experience with non-relational databases and data stores.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
